Frequently Asked Questions About Night to Shine
Who can attend Night to Shine?
Night to Shine is for individuals with physical or cognitive special needs, ages 14 and older. There are no specific guidelines regarding the type or severity of a disability. We want every honored guest to feel welcomed, celebrated, and loved!
How much does it cost to attend?
Night to Shine is completely free for all honored guests! Hope Community Church is honored to host this special evening, with support from the generosity of individuals, local businesses, and community partners.
When and where is Night to Shine?
Night to Shine will take place on Friday, February 12, 2027, from 6–9 PM at Hope Community Church in Shawano, Wisconsin.
When does guest registration open?
Guest registration opens November 8, 2026. Check back here for the registration link and additional details.
Do volunteers need a background check?
Yes. For the safety of our honored guests, all volunteers, including parents and caregivers who plan to enter the event, must complete a background check. This helps us create a safe and welcoming environment for everyone.
Will volunteers receive training?
Yes! All volunteers will receive information and training to help them feel prepared for their roles and provide a welcoming, supportive experience for our honored guests. More details will be shared as volunteer registration opens.
Is there a place for parents and caregivers to go during the event?
Yes! We plan to provide a respite space where parents and caregivers can take a break, connect with others, and enjoy light snacks and fellowship while their loved ones enjoy Night to Shine. We anticipate being able to accommodate up to two caregivers per honored guest at the respite location. Details about the location and arrangements will be shared as plans are finalized.
How can I support Night to Shine?
There are several ways to be part of this special evening! You can sponsor a guest with a $50 gift, shop our Amazon Wish List, or become a Community Partner with a financial gift of any amount. We're also looking for volunteers to help make the evening memorable.
