WK 3: Present with our Community - Day 5

Theme: Present with OUR COMMUNITY

Scripture: Proverbs 27:17
“As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another.”

Observation:
Community is more than simply being around other people, it’s choosing to be present, engaged, and open. This proverb reminds us that real growth happens in relationships. Iron can only sharpen iron when they make contact and in the same way, we are shaped when we allow others close enough to speak truth, offer encouragement, and challenge us. God designed us to refine one another by strengthening each other’s faith, and to become better through intentional connection.

Prayer:
Lord, thank You for the people You’ve placed in my life. Help me to show up fully for them with honesty, patience, and love. Teach me to welcome the sharpening that comes from community and to offer the same grace/ strength to others. Make me mindful of how You work through relationships to shape my heart. Amen.

Application:
Today, take one simple step to be more present in your community. Reach out to a friend who encourages your walk with God, send a message of support, or meet someone face-to-face and truly listen. Look for opportunities to sharpen and be sharpened. Whether it's through sharing wisdom, receiving feedback, or simply spending intentional time together. Choose engagement over isolation and let God use your presence to strengthen others.
